Message Options button |
Displays priority, sensitivity, and receipt options fields. The receipt options fields aren't applicable to tasks. |
Description |
The task description as you want to see it on the calendar and in any reminders. |
Starts at |
The start date and time for the task. For each field, choose the value you want. |
Due at |
The due date for the task, if applicable. For each field, choose the value you want. If there is no specific due date, don't change these fields. |
Priority |
Tasks with Urgent priority will appear in bold on calendars. |
Category |
The type of task. Choose a category at the first field or type your own category in the second field, if desired. |
Reminders |
Whether to generate reminders of the task before the start and due dates: |

Doesn't generate any reminders. |

Time before start and end |
Generates reminders at the time before the start and due dates that you specify. Choose a value at the first field or type your own value in the second field. If you don't specify a unit, such as minutes or days, FirstClass assumes seconds. |
State |
The status of the task. When you are ready to change the status, choose it at the first field. Choose the date from the other fields. If you chose the status Completed, today's date is set by default. |
Advanced section
Use this section to set advanced options.
Time zone |
The time zone for the task start and due times. You may not see this field. This overrides the default time zone set in your preferences, allowing you to schedule events in different time zones. |
Visibility |
Tasks with Normal or Company visibility can be opened by others viewing the calendar. Tasks with any other visibility can only be opened by the task creator. This behavior may change based on calendar permissions. |
Color |
The background color for this task on the calendar. You may want to color code certain tasks. For example, you could give all personal tasks a pink background. To select a standard color, click it. To create a custom color, type the red, green, and blue values. |
Icon |
The icon that represents this task. To select a new icon, click this field, then click the icon you want from the popup. To see a fuller list of icons, Control-click (Windows, Linux) or Option-click (Mac) this field. |
Attachments |
You can attach a file to this calendar task form just as you would to a message. |
The rest of this form is the body of the task, where you can type and format additional information.
